"Considering that our only real job, biologically, is to procreate, this is very alarming."🤔. Great post. I thought this statement suspect. Who is our? Women that can procreate? If so then is that their "only real job biologically"? What does "biologically" mean? Does it mean of and pertaining to our organic matter? Or reproductive function? Our psychological functions or interests? All could fall into the realm of what can be perceived "biologically". I challenge this statement. I found the article really illuminating. I have recently read about the prevalence of microplastics in our environments and food, and to read about its possible connection to infertility in addition to its already suspect affects on our bodies and what our bodies reside in, is helpful. Thanks for this. I'd love to read more about microplastics and their influence on our bodies, health, and ecosystems.

Thanks for reading, Naaz!! "Our" as in all humans. All living organisms theoretically aim to reproduce in order for the species to survive. This is just a general statement about humans as a species and not about specific genders or a comparison to other aspects of the human experience. Thanks for letting me clarify 😊. Yes, microplastics are everywhere! I wrote more about them in a previous newsletter if you're interested: https://zeina.substack.com/p/life-in-plastic-not-fantastic

Completely agree with your line ...if you had kids you're too busy to sweat the small stuff. My 40-year-old niece has no children and she is constantly worried that we're destroying the planet. My 30 year old daughter has no children yet and her current worry right now is eating meat is bad for you and now she's cut out dairy. I told her she's got too much time on her hands

When I first read about men’s testosterone levels plummeting in a Massachusetts’s study in the late 1990s, my first thought was “those men have been ‘domesticated’ by the yoke of feminism.” Reason is that men’s t-levels fall off the cliff when they aren’t able to be in charge of their own worlds, but skyrocket when they rule their territories as they see fit (eg, studies of men’s t-levels during competitive sports). America was built by high testosterone men who rushed to these shores to stake their claim on their own kingdoms where they gladly took responsibility for their wives and had lots of children with them. Then men were patriarchal and aggressive to build, lead, protect and provide and were highly respected by grateful women. Today men are dishonored and disrespected by a generation of women who are ungrateful for men. Because they vilify men, men are abandoning ungrateful women in droves leaving the weaker sex vulnerable to even more dangerous deceptions. History shows that this always ends badly for a society that doesn’t value its men.

Some good advice here, and some questionable advice. Gut biome is key, so add probiotics to your diet. Remember the donut on what to avoid, the big 3: flour, sugar and seed oils. Stick with olive oil and avocado oil (high temp). Not sure how meat, dairy and alcohol harms reproduction. People have consumed all of these for thousands of years, meat for as long as we’ve been human. It’s like generic advice you get as a cure for everything but the vegan lifestyle without supplements is not healthy.

Parasites are a big factor but no one likes to talk about root causes. Most likely a pinworm infection for women. It’s super contagious.

I'm skeptical. I'm 62 years old and I don't know a single person that has infertility issues. I know some do but I doubt it's because of the reasons given in this report.

Thanks Bob, real illuminating. Keep your opinions to yourself, please.

Dearest Elliott, haven't you learned anything in the past two years about politicized researchers, powerful bureaucrats, lying politicians etc? Dr fauci and his pals have been winging this the whole time. So pardon me for being skeptical of reports that we have mass infertility all of a sudden. It reminds me of the so-called global warming research. Google three words. Arctic ice Denmark. Google those three words and look at the graph. Experts wrong again. Elliot you need to get out more often. I know a lot of people that voted for Trump and a lot of people that voted for Biden. I also know a lot of people that voted for Reagan and Carter. I voted for neither of those two I voted for Ed Clark. By the way Elliot I have some nice property for sale in Florida it's a little bit low but I'll give you a good deal on it!!

Bob, you certainly are entitled to your opinion and am thankful that the site allows everyone their chance to voice same. This subject is in no way a new finding, in fact, the dangers to our health overall and our reproductive health in particular from plastics, has been known and proven scientifically for some years. We would all do well to heed this writers advice and clean up our diets, food processing and packaging. Again, thanks Bob for taking the time to voice your opinion.

I'm happy for you. I'm 62 years old. My closest sibling is 12 years older than me. My mother had a half a dozen miscarriages and stillborn between my birth and my sister's birth. Bearing children has never been routine. 125 years ago many women died while attempting to deliver their child. I'm not questioning that there are people that have fertility problems. My point is I don't think it's changed from 100 years ago.

Stacy give me a break. 🙄. Population growth hasn't slowed because of infertility. It has slowed because as Nations become more prosperous they tend to have less children. 100 years ago there was no birth control except for pulling out. Nowadays you can have great sex and never have a child. Most of my friends roughly my age have chosen to have two children and no more. A far cry from 100 years ago when people had as many children as possible. Often a dozen

I can control alcohol by not drinking, and I don't. I can control weight via vigorous excercise so I do. But the biggest infertility risk is from what ? "Endocrine disrupters" ? Never heard of it but reading the list, wow that's terrifying because that is something we can't control individually.
